I am an Evidence Synthesis scientist who reads articles and collects data on cancer, cardiovascular events, and rare diseases. Before this, I got a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a B.S. in Chemical Biology. I love taking all of this knowledge and using it to make badass STEM characters in my writing.

As much as I love science, creating fictional worlds where I can bend reality is exciting. Being an author means taking my crazy ideas and sharing them with people who will laugh and cry with me. It's fun, it's refreshing, and I will always love every story I make (even if it never sees the shelf).

Author/writing humor is my favorite content to make, even if I look ridiculous in it. Sometimes it does great, sometimes it flops and that's okay. As long as I make someone laugh then it's a success!

I am currently querying my debut novel that combines Indiana Jones with Fullmetal Alchemist and features STEM characters, recovery from academic trauma, ritual magic, and a rivals-to-lovers romance.
Why did I write this?
50% of PhD students drop out of their program before reaching the dissertation stage, largely due to financial trouble, misconduct from their peers or mentors, and/or overlooked mental health.
In my own experience, only 3 students out of a class of 10 stayed in the program and graduated.
I wanted to show a glimpse into what students endure and how it hurts their mental health, specifically how trauma can manifest for post-graduates.
